Evgonia - Chania

For sure the best dinner I had in the Chania region. The place is quiet and the atmosphere is relaxed and familiar. It's outiside of the center, away from noisy tourists and with plenty of local people eating here. The food was AMAZING. We had a Dakos, which tasted great, grilled Sardines, with a very smoky and delicious flavor, and the dish of the day, a lamb cooked with a wine sauce, tender and tasteful. We drank the house wine which which was good. At the end they gave us some fruit and raki. The price was very reasonable, and the plates were plenty and big. I will come here again next time I'm visiting, that's a promise.

I was traveling in Crete from Korea. I had lunch earlier today. It's not in main downtown but not too far. The location is relaxed and local atmosphere. Food was great with reasonable price and staffs were sso warm kind. If you wanna very local food, I fully recommend here.

Brilliant, probably best meal that we had in Crete. Excellent specials and the garlic dip wowwww!! Don’t worry about the “poor service” in some of the 1star reviews…. Unless you are pushy tourist wanting a quick lunch. This is Crete, slow down and enjoy!!!!

Everything was perfect! the good environment, the service was exceptional, the people who work in the restaurant were helpful and treats us like friends! where should I start? salat was so good and colorful we wanted more of it! the fish! my gott, that was a joke, tasty that was put on the rehearsal! it is more, and this restaurant is the profi! her house wine very good, we had her white house wine and was very refreshing! the Greek sarg was a perfect end. I hope people realize what is a more valuable place. good quality /price! taste is always there. easy, perfect

If you are not looking for an authentic restaurant in the lively and tourist area of Chania, then you are in the right place. Food was really good and fresh. Totally recommended.
