The pu pu platter for two was just okay; the beef sticks lacked flavor and were cold, while the shrimp was only average. The crab rangoon was underwhelming, with a thick wrap that didn't measure up to the lighter, more flavorful versions we're used to on the East Coast. The egg roll was good but lukewarm, and it seemed like the oil used for frying might have been old. The house fried rice was acceptable, but the real disappointment came with the spare ribs. Although they looked appealing, when we tried to separate the meat from the fat, it was as if we were dealing with raw pork. They were completely undercooked, and we ended up needing to put them in the oven to finish cooking. That was a serious concern, and I felt it warranted a star deduction. On a positive note, the restaurant itself was inviting, and the staff were friendly. However, the overall experience was marred by the issues we encountered, particularly the raw pork. We may give the Chicken and pea pods another try in the future, but for now, our impression of the food remains average to below average.
