El Toro Bravo - Champaign

The free chips and salsa appetizer was fresh and warm, salsa was amazing. What I ordered was exactly what I got, it tasted fresh qnd couldn't have been happier with it. Their in house special cheese sauce was absolutely as good as I remember it being lasttime! A special thank you to my waiter who heard me say I love cheese and made sure the cook didn't hold back! I appreciatelittle things like that. Amazing place to eat if you haven't been there before!

We had a wonderful meal with generous portion sizes. A friend recommended this restaurant to us while we were in the area, and we were definitely not disappointed! It was calm on a Sunday evening, but the staff were welcoming and the food was fresh. If we find ourselves back in the area, we would gladly eat here again.

I've been dining at the El Toro restaurants in Champaign County for years and have noticed a gradual decline in quality across all of them. This particular location had managed to maintain its standards and customer service—until recently. Today, while having lunch with friends, I experienced the worst meal I've ever had anywhere. Their signature El Toro nachos were bland and smothered in an excessive amount of shredded lettuce. When I voiced my concerns, they simply removed the large pile of lettuce I had set aside on a napkin and took $1 off my bill, leaving it still over $14. I barely touched my meal; it was truly disappointing. My friends and I have frequented this place for years, but I have no intention of returning. I would also recommend that you consider dining elsewhere.

The food quality was disappointing! The meat had a terrible taste, was lacking flavor, and the chorizo was undercooked. The lunch was overpriced at $70 for three people. I cannot recommend El Toro.

I just had dinner at this restaurant, and I was really impressed. The service was quick and attentive, and the food was delicious. I absolutely loved the hot and spicy burrito, and my toddler couldn't get enough of her quesadilla and chicken strips. She just kept eating! We dined here on a Sunday at 8:30 PM, and it wasn't too crowded. A big thank you to Carlota for the excellent service. I highly recommend this place. Plus, the free chips and salsa were a nice touch! If we lived nearby, I’m sure we would return soon.
