We had arranged with Paul, the owner of the chip shop, to stop and grab some delicious chips before heading back to the guide. Paul always excels in these situations; I often think of his fish and chips as the best, and that's because they truly are outstanding.
This restaurant serves classic British fish and chips that are cooked to perfection. There's hardly any wait, and the staff are exceptionally friendly. It's often my first stop after work on a Friday or whenever my daughter is feeling hungry. For years, I neglected fish and chips because I lived next to a place that wasn't great, but since coming here, these young folks have reignited my love for this dish.
The owner is very friendly, and the fish is quite good, while the chips were just okay. I was more impressed by the cardboard containers than the plastic ones, which shows that the owner is clearly environmentally conscious and responsible. It would be great to switch to wooden forks, which would complete the eco-friendly transformation.
