Tgi Fridays - Cessnock

Very moderate. the chicken wings had a great taste, but everything else was not fun. all our chips were cold and after we had asked for fresh, we got chips that were thrown back in the frit and covered with oil. our burgers were also not very tasty and the garden salad tasted like he had not been washed. the atmosphere and location gives this place a great potential. it only takes a little more focus on the meal times and their aromes.

Went for lunch with my fiancé at TGIF definitely left disappointed. The service staff were great but the food was very average. We both ordered the Fridays signature glaze stack it was so dry the cheese was hardly even melted. I even questioned if we had been mistakenly been given the vegan burger as the paddy had no juiciness to it. The fries weren’t fresh tasted like they had been sitting in a serving dish all morning. Again, staff venue layout was great but the food was like cardboard.

Simply Terrible is all I can say. The restaurant wasn’t busy but the service was very slow. I wanted a ginger beer but they didn’t have any so I waited and waited for a beer to come out. In the meantime we ordered the Plain Nachos and the Pork Belly Nachos. It took ages and we heard people complaining about the service and the quality of their food while we waited. We nearly walked out when the first Nachos arrived but we wouldnt call it Nachos, it was more like corn chips with condiments. It had no cheese on it when it was supposed to have 3 cheeses according to the menu. The Pulled Pork Nachos came out about 15 mins later and looked like someone had already eaten part of it see photo Again it had no cheese and was basically the same aa the first one but it had some warm pork belly bites on it. It was the worst nachos we have ever eaten. When asked if our meals were ok we said no they weren’t and the offered to replace the first nachos but the 2nd attempt wasn’t much better. The wait staff were good and very apologetic but they were let down badly by the kitchen. They didn’t charge us for the food which was good but we won’t be going there again because on the way home we all felt pains in the belly so something was definitely not right. Big problems here i am afraid .

Our waiter forgot to pass our order on to the kitchen resulting in a very long wait, until we asked how much longer? I wanted to leave at this point, but friend decided to stay and wait even longer for the order that now was being made as a rush and would only be another 4 minutes. When my meal arrived it was strangely really small. It was in the mains section and 20.90 for fettuccine 6 mouthfuls of pasta with some tomato and onion. Serving would be best described as entree, a child's meal, or maybe even a sample serving. No cutlery given with our meals. Music really loud, might appeal to an 18 year old? No one offered to take empty glass off the really small table when our meals arrived had to ask. No one bothered to ask if we were happy with the meals. Paid 28 for a very ordinary small milkshake and a really small serving of pasta which I waited a very long time to receive because the waiter stuffed up but no complimentary drink or discount offered by way of apology. I would never go back. Terrible customer service, bad value for money, too loud. No thank you.

Very disappointed. Great menu options and nice setup inside. Looks very appealing. But when the meals arrived, burger over 30 and a set of ribs 38, with great chips, the burger was small and very stale, meat hard and dry and clearly had been sitting there for hours and my husband had to leave half it. He felt sick after eating it. the ribs were absolutely tiny, like 5 little ones the size of middle finger, with virtually no meat or sauce and what was on it was dry and chewy. Not 38 worth. Was entree size. We knew something was up, when looked over at the open kitchen and was shocked to see the entire kitchen being run by kids all under the age of 20 and their food handling skills were appalling. Picking up chips and food with their bare hands and shoving them into baskets. Was so gross. Food clearly is all prepared earlier and kept hot and dries out. Nothing is cooked fresh. Except the chips. Maccas makes better food, and that is saying something. We looked around and a lot people werent eating all their food either. Will never go back. Meal should have been 10 each not nearly 70. Appalling customer service too. What a wasted opportunity to make a great restaurant with great large delicious American portions and food options. Was terrible. Do not recommend
