Hotel Cessnock

Upon entering the bistro to order food, I was completely ignored by the girl working there. She walked past me three times before finally acknowledging me with a quick "won't be a moment." After waiting over 5 minutes without receiving any service, I decided to leave due to the poor customer service.

Nice hotel in Cessnock food is pretty good recommended if you are in town reasonably priced as well will definitely be coming back to try other meals

For a pub bistro it was very good value. Ordered the basic rump steak, mushroom sauce, medium, with mash n veggies. Was with a large group of friends and we were all impressed with the service and quality of meal. My steak was perfectly cooked, very tasty mushroom sauce and good size serving.

Stopped here with some friends while in Cessnock for a concert.Located just near a set of lights in quite a busy part of town.Plenty off street parking at rear of pub which was great with a back entry into the hotel.Upon entry we were greeted almost immediately with friendly service guiding us to the dinning area. Large dinning area and also your able to eat in the bar area if you like.Extensive menu so much to choose from.I enjoyed my meal , just a basic chicken schnitzel gravy chips and salad.Schnitzel was thick and juicy with a nice crunchy crumb coating.Salad was a bit of a let down tho.To much green leaf matter.One quarter of a tomato and maybe a couple of cucumber pieces and carrot.Not enough dressing so the salad was fairly dry and tasteless.Chips were fine.Would return.

22 of us celebrated my 75th birthday. Food excellent and catered for my Coliac diet. Service was great with smiling and happy staff, nothing was too much trouble. Every one enjoyed thier meal and staff asked if we were all satified
