I like the size of the meat portions here compared to other places I've tried. Miso pork belly was our favorite. Pass on the thin-sliced pork belly, not much taste and they gave a lot of it.. so kind of sucked that we didn't eat very much of it. very chewy took me 5ever to swallow it. Everything else was good. Will definitely come back
This is definitely my go to KBBQ right now! IMO they have the best large intestines in the area. Customer service is great. They are very attentive. Quality of meat if good. I alway get beef brisket and large intestines. Sometimes I get pork belly. This meat review is solely based on these 3 items. Side dishes are yummy! Sauces are good but I definitely miss their wasabi sauce. That was a huge hit and I don't know why they decided to discontinue. Dessert. They have melona most of the time or yakult on the way out which is always a plus! It can get really busy especially during dinner service on the weekends and it helps that they offer waitlist on the yelp app.
On May 23, 2022 was my first time and will probably be the last time as well. Me and my friends were there for lunch, we ordered bunches of stuffs most of them tasted quite bad. The gopchang was sour and smelled compare to other Korean Restaurants/BBQ place that served gopchang. Also, I forgot a pair of sunglasses on the table, only LESS than 10 minutes after I realized, I called the restaurant and after a quick hold, they said they didn't see anything?? Service was okay
When we went there, we wish we will get ice cream too but they were out of it : Hopefully they replace something. I know it is the Meat project.. I only east chicken and shrimps. They only serve 4 shrimps each time even there were 4 people.. hopefully, the servers did pay attention more.. the dipping sauces are not strong taste. The soup is so so. After I left, I feel like that was diet night. I thought I had only salad 4 shrimps for dinner. 2 stars for the location and decor. I don't think I will go back.
Meat Project is a great new contender for all-you-can-eat KBBQ in the area, and if you know the area, you know there are many, many choices for KBBQ. We tried almost every beef and pork selection on their menu, and there honestly wasn't a single cut that I didn't enjoy. My personal favorites are the miso pork belly and galbi; the meat was tender and the marinades were delicious. The initial selection of banchan was all right, but there are additional sides that are part of the all-you-can-eat menu that are also unlimited, such as corn cheese, scallion salad, soybean paste soup, etc. 9292 KBBQ is the only other place I can think of that offers unlimited corn cheese, so I was really happy with that since corn cheese is one of my favorite sides. The three dipping sauces they offer consist of a sweet gochujang sauce, a sweet mustard type of sauce, and a savory but sweet soy-based sauce; I really liked all of them and think their sauce selection might be the best out of all the KBBQ places I've tried. Service was fine; our waiter was very attentive and insisted on cooking the meat for us even though we were cool with cooking ourselves. He didn't forget any of our requests and completed everything we asked for in a timely manner. The price is $30, which is a bit more expensive than other all-you-can-eat KBBQ in the area, but for the quality, sauces, and perks like unlimited corn cheese, I think it's worth it. Overall, Meat Project is one of my new top choices for KBBQ in the area, and I'll definitely be returning.
