Tartine Artisanal London

One of the best places in Tooting! I've been a regular for several years and have sampled nearly everything on their menu. The food is outstanding, and the service is top-notch. Furthermore, it's dog-friendly! I usually go to the location near Tooting Bec since it's more spacious and has cozy sofa seating. I highly recommend their veggie breakfast and pastries. I think they've recently rebranded as Joy Cafe, although I preferred the old name, Tartine!

I absolutely love this place and visit it frequently with my partner and anyone who comes to see us in Tooting. They have a fantastic variety of food at reasonable prices, making it perfect for a light lunch. However, the standout feature of Tartine is definitely their cakes, which are truly remarkable! The carrot cake and lemon meringue pie, in particular, are outstanding.

The food here is absolutely delicious, freshly made to order, and the cakes are a true delight. The staff is friendly, but the service often feels disorganized and lacking in direction. There's no clear system for seating or handling the menu, which results in forgotten orders, missing menus, and long waits for attention at the table. While the casual atmosphere is pleasant, the prices suggest that a higher level of service should be expected. This could easily be improved with some basic training and better systems in place. Additionally, the restaurant could use a thorough cleaning—just take a look at the dirty faux cake and the clutter in the window and display shelves at the back. Improving the kitchen ventilation would also help eliminate lingering cooking odors on customers' clothes and hair. Despite these challenges, with a few changes, this restaurant could easily achieve a five-star rating.

When it started a few years ago, I found coffee average. Recently I went there and the mocha was amazing and the staff very friendly. Huge cafe and loads of room. Highly recommended

A lovely place that does great cakes and some fantastic food the croque madame is to die for! I also recommend their Moroccan mint tea.
