Unfortunately, this was the worst curry I've ever had. I don't live in the UK, only visit London a few times a year, and always look extremely forward to curry there. This not only disappointed, but was mostly uneatable. An extra star for a very friendly manager.
This is not a restaurant to eat in house. I went there recently and we were greeted by an unfriendly host, weren't served any starters that we ordered (but were changed for), waited over an hour for our food, of which the korma was too sweet and chicken over cooked and chewy, whilst sharing the dining room with loud and drunk patrons. I've never waited so long for food to be delivered to my table before, all whilst watching so many take out orders leaving the door it's clear they're understaffed, and put all their energy into their take out service. All our food, including starters, were delivered at the same time, and by that time we were ready to leave and just go get some kebab elsewhere. We will never dine with Spice Island again. Sad that a local eatery is getting it so wrong.
Ordered from here last night for the first time through Just-Eat. It was good value, coming to just under £20 for two mains, two rice, two sides and a naan. It was delivered quickly, and was piping hot when it arrived (something we've had issues with at other takeaways in the past). And the food itself was extremely tasty, and seemed to be fresh and free from too many luminous colourings! We will definitely be ordering again.
Not Italian. Pretty lame Indian and overpriced for takeaway. 2.50 for naan as well as extra for rice? The main protein was merely OK and scarce .
