Signature Brew - Central Dr, Hornchurch

This delightful bakery is one of the best parts of living in Stoke Newington. It's open 24/7, making it an excellent option for a late-night snack instead of a greasy kebab. The wonderful thing is that their bagels taste just as great when I'm sober! The prices are very reasonable; I typically get the smoked salmon bagel for only £2.10, and it always tastes incredibly fresh. The staff have consistently been friendly, even in the early morning hours. I also tried their croissants and pain au chocolat, which were good but not exceptional, which is why I rated it 4 stars instead of 5.

I took a morning stroll to the sandwich shop and was delighted by the quick and friendly service. The food quality is excellent and very reasonably priced—what more could you ask for? By the way, the salmon and cream cheese sandwich is simply amazing!

The bagels here are just as tasty as those from the more well-known shops on Brick Lane. However, the fact that everything is pre-packaged detracts from the overall experience. It would be nice to have the option to customize your own bagel during the day, but since I only visit late at night, that's not a concern for me. Still, my tuna mayo bagel (which I got without cucumber or sweetcorn, as those options weren't available) was quite good, so I can't complain too much. They also offer some lovely cakes, pizza slices, samosas, and a variety of other delicious bready snacks.

A bakery that’s open 24 hours? What more could you want! This place has an incredible variety of cakes and pastries—perhaps even too many options! The French bread they serve is likely the best I've had in London. My only minor complaint is that sometimes the items aren’t as fresh, which tends to depend on what time of day you visit.

To round things off, they offer patisserie-style cakes and fruit tarts, along with coffee and tea. The place is well-loved by a diverse crowd for both the food and its late hours, only closing during Jewish holidays. It’s especially popular with the officers from the renowned Stoke Newington Police Station just across the street. My only complaint is that these officers seem to have an unquenchable craving for the Bagel House donuts, and by early evening, all the donuts are usually gone. Maybe the police should limit themselves to the jam donuts, leaving the ring donuts—still quite delicious—for us civilians, as they like to call us. Just a suggestion, officer—there’s no need to taser me!
