However, the meal was fabulous and served in very timely warning the yorkshire pudding could be an appetizer on its own faust the bark was nicely cooked, as the veg. desert were also beautiful, all round we felt a beautiful place with a large family ambiente. we will certainly be back, thank you
I went here with a few friends and sat outside , with the blankets provided we was warm and cosy , The food was amazing
What a place to stay, the staff were amazing and had such a welcome and couldn’t do enough for you. Ola the manager was so helpful and a great front of house host. Rooms were immaculate and well presented with no expense spared. Absolutely chuffed with my stay and would highly recommend the George Inn. Also food was superb
Just been for lunch. Service friendly. Menu would cater for most tastes. Wine list short, but varied enough to match the food served although the addition of dessert wine, even by the glass, might lift the end of the meal. (Monbazillac, Loupiac or Cerons are nice and are a bit more affordable than Sauternes). Would have been a 5 stars only the balsamic vinegar used with the olive oil as a dip for bread was from the cheaper/sour end of the spectrum.
The pub is lovely, food and drinks are very nice. Just two issues, 1) seem unable to serve a pint of real ale, always has an inch of froth collar and 2) do not accept cash. Why?
