Tony's - Cedar Key

This is the best clam chowder I’ve ever tried! The service was excellent as well; I was offered a sample as soon as I walked in.

The chowder soup is fantastic! The staff is friendly and attentive. We sampled a few sandwiches, which were tasty, but you definitely must try the chowder soup when you visit.

It was our first visit to Cedar Key, and we decided to try Tony's because my wife is a big fan of clam chowder. However, we noticed that the menu was quite limited, likely due to the hurricane that flooded the area about a year ago, which has left some establishments still in the recovery phase. My wife ordered the clam chowder and really enjoyed it. I opted for a hot dog and chips, which were decent. My only letdown was the lack of variety on the menu.

It's so sad when such a great restaurant is not what it used to be. The clam chowder is still the best ever, but the atmosphere and the menu leave a lot to be desired in a coastal town. Hope it comes back to the way it was 5 years ago.
