Landmark - Cedar Falls

I can hardly believe what I just experienced. I saw a female employee pour what looked like breast milk into a customer's shot glass for them to drink. The white liquid came from a breast pump, and I am truly appalled. This is incredibly unprofessional and disgusting. It clearly violates food safety regulations, as that is someone’s bodily fluid being served at the bar. Regardless of whether the customer requested it, no one should have to witness such behavior.

This is a great spot to meet friends. While it’s not as themed as some other places, the service is friendly and the atmosphere is pleasant, making it perfect for a quick visit.

Because of Covid 19 you have to read the menu in the front window. Then you decide on your selection, go inside and place your order and pay. We sat outside and waited for a while for our food. I had a chicken gyro which was ok. My wife had the scallops and fried haddock. She ate it but wasn’t really impressed. Our waitress was attentive and the prices were reasonable.

We are Greek food lovers and this place was a real disappointment. The stifado was basically beef in brown gravy with some pearl onions. The stuffed eggplant wasn’t good either it was not fresh and the filling was scarce. The bechmel sauce was not very creamy a bit dried out. The Greek salad was just a regular salad with a few bits of mediocre feta and an olive, although I did like the salad dressing. The music was a few songs from the movie Zorba the Greek played over and over we heard each song about 5 times and we weren’t there that long. I don’t recommend this place at least not the free food there.

I have an intolerance towards garlic so finding an eatting establishment while traveling presents quite a challenge. When we entered this restaurant I explained to the waitress about my intolerance and she was very understanding and helped me pickout foods that did not have garlic and when she took my order back to the kitchen I heard her tell the cook that I was intolerant to garlic so nothing with garlic on or near my food. She automatically substituted my salad dressing with vinegar and oil as she knew the house dressing had garlic! My broiled fish was out of this world!
