Golden Pig Authentic Korean Cuisine

The Golden Pig is my favorite place to order food. I've dined there a few times, and the experience was wonderful. The food is authentic, delicious, and very affordable. My favorite dish is the stir-fried veggies and tofu. I highly recommend it to everyone!

I had a lovely meal here on a Saturday night, and it was wonderful! It's a small, cozy restaurant, but incredibly clean and a lot of fun. The bibimbap was fantastic, and the kimchi was definitely worth the visit. Everything they offer deserves to be tried, making it a perfect lunch spot in the South!

Although there's plenty of parking available, it feels a bit misleading, as once you go inside, you'll notice it is absolutely tiny! There are just two tables—one for two people and the other for three—and a counter that wraps around the walls with five seats. That's all the seating they have! To the left of the entrance is a small kitchen as well. When we arrived, the two tables were occupied, but there was one empty, so we thought about ordering takeout. The owner informed us it would take at least 30 minutes to prepare our orders, possibly longer because she only had four burners and was already busy with other guests' orders. I must have looked surprised when she explained that, so we decided to sit at the counter since we were three. I'm really glad we did! Within seconds, the owner brought out three small plates with a variety of kimchi on them. There were sliced cucumbers, traditional cauliflower, a type of cabbage, and some unidentified white cubes. Everything was delicious, and even if you're not a fan of strong flavors, you must try these. They weren’t overwhelmingly spicy, but they had a nice kick. When I tasted one of the cubes, I was hit with a sweet and spicy flavor and thought they must be a kind of green melon. When I asked the owner, she said they were actually spicy radishes! I was surprised because I didn’t expect them to be sweet. The last item on the small plate was ginger bites—probably the most significant item on the plate. Next, we were served a sweet pancake that resembled a cross between a Jewish latke and a Chinese scallion pancake. It was quite tasty, although a pinch of salt would have improved it, and we could add soy sauce from the table. Then came the beef bulgogi with rice, along with a dish called buldak, which featured chicken in a fiery red sauce that tasted like tomatoes, paprika, and spices. It was absolutely delicious and came with a side of white rice. The beef bulgogi surprised us with its sweetness. Finally, we tried the mandu, which were dumplings filled with well-seasoned ground beef. Every dish was excellent! Since I enjoy spicy food, I found a tub of chili garlic paste to enhance some of the dishes, but the rest of my party was quite satisfied with the heat level. If you prefer milder food, this might not be the place for you, as each dish was robustly flavored. While we were eating, we were amazed by how busy the restaurant was; every five minutes or so, the door opened as new customers came in. Many people opted for takeout, some placed orders upon seeing the full tables, and a party of four decided to eat next to the counter. The phone was also ringing off the hook with more orders being placed. There was no sign of a slow service here! Given how pleasant the dining experience was, I wish the owners all the best and hope they find a way to expand into the rest of the building. We will definitely be back!

Small place with lots of taste! we are frequent customers and love this place. eating is like the owner. spicy and sassy! yong makes you feel like you are home. she says it's like it and does it with love. fresh delicious authentic food. it won't be better than that.

It was total worth the drive from town. Food was awesome could eat so much more then I did. I will be going back again and again. So yummy!
