Tillies - Cayman Islands

The staff at Tillies was incredibly accommodating towards a food allergy within our group. Our meals were served promptly and presented beautifully, allowing us to enjoy a relaxing dinner with a waterfront view. The food was cooked to perfection.

The food at the restaurant was delicious, but the service was extremely poor. We were disappointed because our previous experience at Tillie's for brunch had been much better. The restaurant was also uncomfortably hot with no air flow indoors, leading to a swarm of mosquitoes and us sweating profusely. The servers were absent for long periods and we went without water for a significant amount of time. The heat was so intense that we almost fainted and had to skip dessert and just ask for the check to avoid heat exhaustion. The cocktails were also terrible, so we returned them. Overall, the food was not enjoyable in such unpleasant conditions.

Our initial visit to Tillie's was not impressive (the food was mediocre, and the bottle of white wine was not chilled), but we decided to give it another chance. Lisette, our server, completely changed our opinion. We had a fantastic time. Lisette provided excellent recommendations, was extremely friendly, and we thoroughly enjoyed chatting with her. Thanks to Lisette, we will definitely be returning.

A wonderful dinner at Tillies, in large part due to our waitress Lissette. She helped guide us on some delicious choices (the ceviche and market snapper with creamed corn were amazing! and provided such lovely conversation. Ambience and decor is beautiful and made for a perfect last night in Grand Cayman! PS to the Tillies team we can’t imagine how hot the wait staff must be in their jackets I was melting into summer dress! Please let them remove the jacket!!!

Noise level was not energetic as I would not want that but this is the perfect setting. It was a little warm outside for eating a nice dinner but the location works. We loved our food and our waiter was simply the best of the best but the steak still does not compare to the US American beef steak for 2 we get here in Texas. EVERYTHING else was above expectation. The okra was the best we have ever had.
