The views were stunning from this mountainside bar/cafe, and the food and drinks were absolutely phenomenal. More than anything, I loved the service here. The owner and his family run the place, and they personally came by multiple times to check on us. While we stopped here to eat, we had some issues come up with the hotel we were supposed to stay at that night, and the owner without hesitation said he could reach out to some of his colleagues to see if they had an open airbnb for us. It was incredibly kind and generous, and while we thankfully didn't need to take him up on his offer, the thought meant everything! Excellent views, food, drinks, and above and beyond service... what more could you ask for?
Food is amazing and the great staff. We ate so much, we were stuffed and still eating lol. Highly recommended. Staff is bilingual.
Authentic cuisine and ambience is what El Rincón Criollo is all about. They are located in Cayey, about 10 minutes off the PR-52 Toll Highway. It's one of those hole in the walls that just make one proud of traditional dishes in Puerto Rico. Being one of the first restaurants we visited, we were worried about what our overall experience would be, this place more then delivered. Food cooked to perfection, seasoning and flavors that reminded all of us of our uprising, OMG! We ordered a bit of everything on the menu and they came out as ready, nothing was pre-made, all cooked to order. If you are wanting to see it up a notch, as them for their homemade hot sauce, a mix of seasonings and liquid flavors, went well with all our orders. We loved the Chicarron de Pollo, Mofongo with Churrasco with Chimichurri Sauce, Alcapurrias, Tostones, Sorullitos, the variety of Empanadas and their large selection of fresh juices. We also had to order a Pina Colada and a Malta India, the official Malta of Puerto Rico. To wrap up, this is the spot, if you want the food of the island at a price that will blow your mind, check out El Rincón Criollo!
Food was great! Staff is very pleasant and accommodating. We stopped here on our way home from the beach and the kitchen was closing in 20 minutes. They welcomed us and still served us. Thank you!
Local cuisine.Always taste fresh. Great place for a quick lunch of rice, fricasse de pollo and tostones. We have been coming here at least once every 2 months maybe. Cute place but the people who work here never give a welcoming feel. Never greet you with a smile so don't expect it. Or ever welcome you back. Not friendly at all. We come back because we like the food and the price is right. This place is in Anasco Puerto Rico rt 115
