Shades Grill - Cavan

At first april we visited a private dinner party at shades. up to 70 families and friends came together to have aperitifs before they sat down to dinner. what I immediately met was the warm reception given by the staff and professionalism to all served with drinks in a fairly clogged but revitalized bar area. nothing was too much troubled and they made us feel very home. once we were sitting a quite large selection of curses offered, all of which sound delicious. I chose the beautified garlic and chili king prawns for the starter and my friend had the crispy crume brie. both dishes were excellent and I enjoyed the garnels. for the net, I had served the glazed lamb on a bed of the Butternuss-Quesch-Furte and vegetables with an excellent rosmarin jus. the lamb was boiled, just as I had ordered on the middle rare side and well paired with the red wine I sadly could not remember the brand. my friend, who is creepy about his fish chips, had served the broken squid with a fertile, charred lemon and Tatar sauce. absolutely top rate he said like his clobpy chips! not with a sweet tooth I chose the cheese plate that offers a generous selection of Irish cheese. my friend had the crème brûlée, who was very charming. I was too many private functions and can say how impressed we were to find such a consistent high quality throughout the whole range of impressive dresses at shades. great eating served with brilliant service. my only complaining was that I couldn't stay any longer!

Another amazing meal in Shades, every time we visit here it seems to just get better and better.. I had the Halibut special paired with the Neptunes Nectar (both specials on this weekend) and they were both so tasty. Can’t wait to be back, my partner and I won’t go anywhere else in Cavan anymore as this place exceeds itself every single time!

We enjoyed a great meal in Shades recently. From the moment we walked in the door the staff were warm and friendly. The bar is extensive with great choice of alcoholic and non alcoholic choices. The menu was varied and the food delicious. I would highly reccomend a visit!
