Hwy 66 Diner - Catoosa

Starting off with my experience with the first waitress, I had to ask her three times for creamer for my coffee. Thankfully, she was eventually replaced by another waitress who was attentive and friendly. However, I was extremely disappointed with the food. My order of an omelette, home fries, toast, and bacon was a complete mess. The bacon was missing, the toast was just plain bread with butter, and the omelette was overcooked with tiny pieces of ham. The home fries were more like deep-fried potatoes, which was not what I was expecting. Additionally, I was not a fan of the ala carte breakfast options. Overall, this restaurant will not be my first or last choice for dining out. I would recommend checking out other options like Waffle House or IHOP across the street for a better meal. We had a fantastic experience at this restaurant. The food was delicious and our server was attentive and friendly. The atmosphere was lively and welcoming with smiling and happy staff. The prices were reasonable, with dinner costing approximately $10-20 per person. Overall, we would rate the food, service, and atmosphere a perfect 5 out of 5.

It took over an hour to get our simple breakfast order then another 30 minutes to get the ticket Meal type: Dinner

Today, I had lunch at HWY 66 Diner and ordered the Fried Green Beans and Beef Short Rib Smoked Gouda Melt with Caramelized Onions on Grilled Sourdough Bread. The fried green beans were deliciously spicy, possibly coated in ground up Cheddar Jalapeño Cheetos or Flaming Hot Cheetos. The sandwich, made with buttered and grilled sourdough bread, was generously stuffed with short rib meat, onions, and cheese - half a sandwich was more than enough for me. The Motley Fries were also tasty. Our waitress, Gail F, was a pleasure to interact with.
