I absolutely love this place! I drive from Salinas to Moss Landing, and this spot is conveniently right in between. I usually pick up a variety of their traditional breads. My four daughters really enjoy their Mexican bread and Nesquik milk while we’re at the beach. It's important to keep our traditions alive, and what better way to do that than with good bread? It’s delicious at any time of the day—morning, noon, or night. I can’t help but wonder what kind of bread I should try next! And how about some hot chocolate to go with it?

My husband and I are visiting Castroville and were looking for something authentic that's hard to find in the Midwest, so we stopped by Guadalajara Bakery, and wow... Have you ever had such a craving for a dozen donuts but found them too sweet to consume all at once? This is the place for you. I've never tasted pastries so delightful before. They offer everything from sweet breads to cheesecake, cakes, cookies, and fruit turnovers—truly a feast! To be honest, I have no idea what we ended up buying, but every single item was delicious. We ended up getting around 6-8 pastries and cakes, and the total cost? Only $7! Make sure to bring cash and don't forget to leave a tip. My favorite item was the bread puffs topped with a version of chocolate icing—absolutely incredible!
