Costumer service Is Good, Food is Good &The horchata Is one of my favorite drinks here
I was glad to see a new restaurant finally go into this space at Franco's in Castroville. But we were really underwhelmed. There were only 2 other ladies here for lunch today. They don't have any type of lunch specials or anything deep fried like tacos or flautas. I guess that's why we got chips from a bag. The salsa was mild, watery and didn't taste like much. I had 2 carnitas tacos. They were very small with only a tablespoon of carnitas. They didn't taste like anything. My husband had a super burrito that was huge but mostly filler, tons of onions with a sprinkling of meat. This was also flavorless. Very limited parking out front. Doubt we'll be back. There are much better places here in Castroville. Our server was nice.
This place is GREAT!. The chips and salsa is delicious..actually more like the salsa, I really liked it. We walked in for lunch during the week and it was pretty empty but that's because there's nothing in this area anyways! The parking was pretty easy but if it gets full in the front to go to the next block over. I ordered the carne asada tacos which had a lot of flavor but even better if you get their salsa to go with it. The food came out in a decent amount of time that you'd normally expect in a dine in restaurant. I'd have to say the service was great and we were greeted and checked up periodically if we needed anything else. That's pretty good. On the other hand, the decor of this place is amazing. You can tell they put in a lot of work because it's really nice. I should have took a photo but had to eat quickly since I had to leave and go back to work. Overall, I'd come back here again to try the burritos but for sure, I would get the tacos again with the salsa. Cheers guys!
Taco Tuesday! $1 tacos, they are on the small side but are double tortilla with a hint of oil. these tacos were filled to the max. i tried the pastor, carnitas, tripas. my partners had asada and chicken, all meats were tasty. first time coming in here. service was outstanding, salsas with chips had good texture and flavor, it could have been a bit spicy but perfect for the non spicy eaters. along with the tacos come two spicy salsas to add to your tacos. both red and green were delish. i will definitely be returning soon. i didnt have rice or beans so i can't review them. i did notice there is a daily special menu. lack of parking can be an issue depending on time of day. after 5pm there is parking available at the Rabobank next door. On Saturdays Amigos is open till 2am
