Pokeatery - Castro Valley

I have always been a fan of this restaurant! I appreciated the fact that I could order a vegetarian bowl for myself and a kids bowl for my son, instead of just the more expensive adult fish bowl. We all enjoyed the variety of toppings and choices available. It was great to have different options for bases and sides, and the staff were always willing to accommodate my requests for different bases as sides. I was disappointed to discover that the Castro Valley location in the public market has closed and been replaced by a poke place that we didn't enjoy as much. I hope that this restaurant will find a new location and reopen soon!

The food at this charming market restaurant is absolutely delicious. The service is top-notch, and the atmosphere is cozy. I recommend trying the Poke Box, it's a must-have dish. Plenty of parking options available, including a free parking lot. Great spot for a lunch outing, with prices ranging from $20 to $30 per person.

I really love this restaurant. The only reason for my lower rating is that they are not open when they say they are. I drove all the way here only to find them closed. Please update your hours.

I've been a longtime ustomer and usually enjoy eating at Pokeatery. Now, due to the horrible service I received last week, I'm looking for a new place. The girl who waited on me was so unpleasant and sour, she never cracked a smile, barely made eye contact and basically acted as if I was ruining her day or she had better things to do. When l checked out, I had some rewards point that I used. I let her know that and yet once my purchase was complete, she just pushed my container towards me without a thank you. I was so done with her I just left without my free item. I'm hoping that if I give this place another try, she is long gone! Prices have gone up but I always try to support local business. However, I expect at least decent service when I do visit a local business. Food was fine.
