The most wonderful oysters!!! fresh on ice …good price. We had also Guaritaburger with French fries. Alvarinho bottle in cooler. Service is good and friendly. Beautiful terrace..nice view We recommend this place

Lovely views but since it closed fur renovation and reopened they have reduced the size of the restaurant by half and the grassy area outside has 1 sail to provide shade on 2 tables?? Why as it 32oc in August !! We sat in full sun at 1pm, waited 1/2hr for drinks and 1hr 20 mins for food. We ordered 2 adult and 2 child’s meals, they brought 1 adult salad and 1 child’s meal out, 15 mins later the other child’s meal and completely forgot about my salad They apologised and said my salad would be another 10 mins! I politely asked for the bill and they charged me for the 2 salads arrgh! I debated the bill in my ‘pigeon Portuguese language’ and walked out. The manager just stood and looked on his mobile. If they could have understood English I would have been much harsher! Disappointing as the goats cheese salad and the setting is really good

Let’s start positive; the view is sensational, looking down over Praia verde beach. And the architecture is modern….. Taking in the view is only possible if you have skin of leather as there is precious little shade. If you do decide to sit under the not-so-shady canopy there is a totalitarian seating policy enforced from the background by the manager who resembles none other than Sid Little from the 1980’s comedy duo Little and Large. This man fiddles about, flirts with the staff , chats with the DJ and never interacts with the customers. If he did, they would tell him that the staff were a toxic mixture of lobotomised, surly and amnesiac. The food was a curates egg. The salad good, the kids chicken nuggets average and the cheese and chicken toastie inedible. Go for the view, go for a drink , enjoy the music but you are going to need a thick skin.
