Boccaccio - CASTRIGNANO DEL CAPO

We had a horrible experience in this restaurant tonight as we‘ve literally been thrown out of the restaurant. After one hour the waitress told us to leave as they have a reservation for this table (which they did not mention at our arrival). We actually had half of a wine bottle left and did not even order the dessert and after complaining the staff reacted in a very unappropriate way. It would have been okay if they told us before but they didn’t. It seems that this restaurant‘s focus is more on mass processing rather than on customer experience. I therefore highly recommend not to to there.

Local and very tasteful food. Great choice of local craft beers. Situated in a forest , made this a meal with very nice atmosphere. The value for money was good.

I was so looking forward to coming here for dinner, after reading all the reviews. The setting is beautiful and so clever. We were seated and immediately asked what we wanted to eat drink. We took some time and ordered the starter came out quickly, the main course a bowl of pasta and a sandwich took an hour to arrive. The pasta was inedible only good enough to feed to the pigs. We complained they didn’t care and we paid for the full meal. Clearly this is a tourist trap with no interest in providing good food or service.

Place is amazing, they have wood tables in the middle of the woods, where you can have a perfect prrivacy especially ig you need romantic place. Food is very accurate and everything is fresh and home made. For sure one of the most beautiful restaurants I've been lately. Highly recommeded.

I’m writing this review in English to let more people know what an amazing experience we had at ‘Boccaccio la poesia in un barattolo’. It is an enchanting and original place, where you can taste genuine and excellent traditional handmade food and beer. Hard to say what we appreciated the most: the ‘cassetta Boccaccio’ is a good way to taste a mix of the traditional food they have to offer, the boys loved the ‘pittole’ and ‘bombette’, the ‘orecchiette alle cime di rapa’ super… The whole family really enjoyed it! We couldn’t avoid to buy some of their specialities under oil. All made reven more pleasant by the kindness and passionate attitude… Congratulations to father Marcello and mother Lucia and to the whole family
