Because of this inconsistency, we no longer dine at Binky's and choose to eat at restaurants where we can trust our meals to be prepared correctly.
For cheesecake lovers, be warned that the cheesecake here is jelly-like with a soft base and lacks texture. It almost feels like eating baby food. Even after two of us tried the cheesecake, we both regretted it. One of us opted for the chocolate cake, which was mediocre at best. There was more chocolate sauce than actual cheesecake. We recommend sticking with Cafe Maud's homemade-style cheesecake instead.
Upon entering, we were informed that there would be a 25-minute wait due to a queue. The male server suggested we come back later, but we ignored him and found a table where a couple was leaving. We ordered two large breakfasts and two pots of tea. Unfortunately, the food was the worst we've had in the UK and Ireland. The breakfasts were soaked in grease and completely inedible. This was the worst dining experience we've had in Belfast, and we will not be returning to this pricey establishment. On the bright side, we found a cafe nearby called 36 Cafe that we would highly recommend. It was a 10 out of 10 experience.
We have been going here for Breakfast as a group of friends for years. I’m not sure if they have changed their chef but the food was awful. We said today we would not return. Members of staff were uninterested or disinterested and chatting rather than serving and the food was cold and bacon not cooked. Potato bread almost inedible. Not great for a place that we have enjoyed for many years. They didn’t even give the full fry either with items missing. Poached eggs terrible. Hopefully they can bring it back but we’ll be going elsewhere.
Went in, asked for a table for 3, was told the wait would be 20 minutes even though there was at least 6 tables of 2 available. The assistant refused to pull a chair from another table. We went up the road to No.36 cafe. A much better cafe.
