Short Cut, Castle Hill Rsl Club

When we tried to place an order over the phone, the website was down. We made several attempts but couldn't get through to order. On a positive note, they did have a good selection of child-friendly meals, but the children were limited to only vanilla ice cream. They weren’t allowed to choose from the various flavors available, which was disappointing.

The Courtyard Restaurant is a fantastic spot for celebrating a casual birthday. The bar staff were more than happy to set up a bar tab for our guests, which was a great convenience.

We had a wonderful meal and really enjoyed our afternoon. The only issue we encountered was that some dishes were served much later than others. Aside from that, everything was fantastic, and the staff were extremely friendly and welcoming.

Nice bright area. Tables are well spaced with room for people to move between without knocking others. RSL food tends to be of very similar quality regardless of which RSL you are visiting. Two of our party had the Milk Bar burger and both found the meat patty overcooked and of rubbery texture. The bug and crab ravioli was very good with just the right amount of chilli and the salt and pepper squid was also good. Ice cream vouchers were not delivered with the children's meals but were bought immediately to the table when queried.
