There is an adage that restaurants with great views should be avoided, or at least treated with suspicion. Obviously there are exceptions that prove the rule, but this place doesn't. The view over the lake is certainly splendid, the outdoor decor is well, very white, very stark and all a bit plastic, even if it's not actually plastic. It feels like it. An early warning sign is the actual menu. It's a couple of badly photocopied sheets of paper. The food is mediocre. Polpette di tonno consists of a small number of balls about the size of a biggish marble, breadcrumbed and fried, as polpette are, but bland to the point of tastelessness. The polpo grigliato had been pre prepared, you can't grill a polpo in the time it took between ordering and serving. Again it was bland, served on a bed of cold potato and some lettuce. A side order of patate al forno had spent very little time in an oven and not recently. The service was better than the food. There are some excellent restaurants in C del L serving much better food than this. They might not have the view over the lake, but you can't eat a view.
We loved their seafood and it’s so affordable compare to other restaurants. I had the ravioli with crabs (super yummy! e mio marito had zuppa with lake fish trasemeno and crispy mixed seafood. All very tasty! Being is Umbria with limited seafood restaurants around, we are so happy to have bumped into this place. This will now be a staple in our monthly eating out plans!! Can’t wait to go back already!
Good to go for a drink but stay away from the food, the choice is limited, it's COLD and there are so many better in easy walking distance
