Fattoria Il Poggio

Everyone who visits Lake Trasimeno should visit Isola Polvese and on arrival should head for Fattoria il Poggio. It is a 20 minute walk from the jetty but it is worth every step. Run by a mother, daughter and son the welcome is wonderful and nothing is too much trouble. There is an extensive menu of the day and everything is cooked freshly. My vegetarian needs were met without the blink of an eyelid. The food was excellent and so tasty and left us full for the whole afternoon. The service was friendly and the best I have received in 3 weeks in Italy. The conversation with the staff was lively, the music pleasant and they even danced a little as they served you. The meal was excellent value and it was a jolt to leave. I thoroughly recommend the location for its views and ambiance, the first class food and warm and friendly staff.

Restaurant in my opinion great. great welcome despite we had three dogs. Great food. lake view. light and delicious music in the background. personal paula and family friendly and caring. We'll be back as soon as possible. Highly recommended
