Antica Trattoria Tavianella

I have known this trattoria since my childhood, my family and I have always been delighted... The place is very simple and traditional. The food is genuine, simple and tasty. Go there if you want to experience real Tuscany in a beautiful spot it is a 1.000m mountain village and it is very close to one of my favourite hidden gem the unique Boccadirio sanctuary. The polenta crostini with wild mushrooms (porcini are to die for : They also have one of the best tortelloni di patate of the area, all of this with reasonable prices!

Excellent home cooking with local and genuine products, first with mushrooms and truffles, exceptional Florentines, and desserts are no less

In my opinion, when you go out to eat. you choose suitable rooms for your own pockets, not always you give. instead in this trattoria you eat well, good homemade tortelli, good mixed grill with raw steak at the right point, good fried potatoes not frozen. we did not take dessert so I do not express myself, however good quality price. speed in service and friendliness. Old school bar and restaurant. But it is the only place in the area for miles and miles. Thanks to the owner for keeping it open. Great service.
