The pizza was excellent although the fish and prawn dinner on one night was all bones and difficult to eat. They had a great wine selection alongwith local craft beers and the live music was good fun. Special thanks to the expat Aussie manager who made us feel very welcome as expat Aussies too) as we also came for a night cap on a few nights.
Very welcoming Super nice service Excellent English Down to Italy dishes Very yumm food Good wine selection We enjoyed it
We opted to dine at this restaurant due to its proximity to Villa Sonia, making it a convenient choice after a long day of driving. The staff greeted us warmly, and the location itself, situated in a cave just outside the entrance of Castelmole, a fortress town, had a distinctive and charming atmosphere. However, our dining experience was marred by the disappointing food. The bread brought to our table was stale, and the pasta dishes we ordered turned out to be the worst we had throughout our two-week stay in Sicily. On a positive note, the restaurant did provide live music that evening, adding a pleasant touch to the ambiance. It's worth noting that there are several alternative restaurants located a short uphill distance, offering more diverse dining options nearby.
We ate here twice and also ordered a takeaway for our last night. This is a lovely place to eat with a great atmosphere and very friendly and helpful staff. The food was extremely good with a good choice and good drink selection too. There was live music at the weekend which we all enjoyed and it added to the experience.
We had a lovely evening and thoroughly enjoyed the food, wine and ambience. In particular the La Caverna house pizza with wild Sicilian fennel and mushrooms was exceptional. Thank you making it such a special evening.
