Z's Grub And Pub - Casselton

Every time I visit this restaurant, the food is consistently delicious. I brought my mom here when she was visiting from Pennsylvania, and she was very pleased with the meal. The atmosphere is great and the service is exceptional. The average price per person is $20–30. I would rate the food, service, and atmosphere all a 5 out of 5.

The food at this restaurant is excellent. The **** Mary Burger comes topped with a pickle and olive on a perfectly cooked medium rare patty, giving it the taste of a backyard BBQ. It's the best burger I've had in North Dakota. The ambience is very nice, with lots of local charm and plenty of seating options. The bar and grill is decorated with a Western theme, giving it a trendy cowboy feel. I would love to go back to try more food and visit the friendly people there again. There are also large TVs for watching basketball games. I highly recommend this place, especially if you enjoy beer and burgers.

Unfortunately, today's experience at this restaurant was disappointing. A group of 10 of us went for lunch, with 8 members being first-time visitors. Like many other places, the staff seemed understaffed. Two of our group tried to order drinks at the bar, only to be told by the bartender/owner that he was too busy to help them. This was a deal-breaker for me. Our waitress was trying her best, but the other two employees, one of whom was the owner, were rude. The food was subpar, in my opinion. Overall, none of us were impressed and we will not be returning. The customer service was terrible. We understand working short-staffed, but treating customers poorly is unacceptable, especially when we are the ones paying the bills.
