Przekaż informację zwrotnąHoused in the former summer residence of a Portuguese nobleman, this location is just stunning, with classical architecture overlooking Estoril's famous Tamariz Beach and only down the street from the world-renowned Casino Estoril, which inspired James Bond's Casino Royale. The stunning setting is exactly what you would expect for a beach club restaurant run by the Penha Longa Resort in Sintra, one of most highly-awarded resorts in Europe. As we came during COVID, inside dining was not available and so we ate outdoors on the terrace, which had a beautiful view of the beach below. The service was attentive. The food was very nice, especially the Salada de Sapateira appetizer, the croquetes, and the Pica Pau.
Very good experience. We were inside the restaurant. Great view. Good service. Very nice drinks. Good Latin American food. We got ceviche and some tacos. Good quality. We were three, and shared the ceviche as a starter and three tacos (of three). That was enough. Decent prices.
Pareceu me que o restaurante tenta apresentar se como um local bastante chique e selecto. Por mais que tentassem, senti que eles se esforçaram demais nessa forma de se apresentar e todos se sentiram tão encenados. Além disso, a equipe foi bastante agressiva com o couvert e a água. Por outro lado, o menu é rico e há muitos pratos à escolha. No entanto, eu esperava que a comida em si fosse muito melhor. Minha tigela de salmão era medíocre e um dos ingredientes a deixou muito azeda. Minha última reclamação é que a música estava desnecessariamente alta criando uma poluição sonora dominante na área.
Tomamos bebidas antes do jantar, a equipe foi excelente, deu sugestões úteis e é amigável. O linguado era um pouco grande demais para eu saborear, as vieiras e o salmão estavam frescos, mas espero que venha com menos molho. A sopa de peixe era reconfortante.
It seemed to me that the restaurant tries to present itself as a rather fancy and select place. Try as they might, I felt like they have put too much effort into this way of presenting themselves and all felt so staged. Furthermore, the staff was quite pushy with the couvert and water. On the other hand, the menu is rich and there are plenty dishes to choose from. Yet I expected the food itselft to be much better. My salmon bowl was mediocre and one of the ingredients made it too sour. My last complaint is that the music was unnecessarily loud creating a dominant noise polution in the area.
