The flan was creamy and authentic, but the tacos had their flavor diluted by the iceberg lettuce put on top. The service was great though!Parking: The restaurant is located in the Publix Shopping Center. There is plenty of parking.
Frida Kahlo would be proud. The atmosphere is festive (even night of the dead). The Margaritas are delicious, as are the shrimp tacos. In and outdoor seating. Great service from a very polite staff.Food: 5/5
A Good Friend was in town so we met for late lunch at Frida's Patio. We started with Pepper Queso, then my Friend had Empanadas while I opted for their incredible Chimichanga (with shrimp/spicy) and it was perfect. Server was courteous and efficient and the meal very enjoyable!
In my opinion the food is average. Not great and not bad. For me it is the ingredients used. For example they use ground beef instead of beef chuck for some of their beef entrees. Spices used in dishes are above average and their salsa is above average. I do not like their tortilla chips. Not a bad place for a bite but I have other Mexican restaurants that I prefer over this one. Again, this is my personal taste. The food is not bad. Parking is a walk from the restaurant because it is tucked in a corner. They did a really great job making an outside eating area.
Service was great overall. My plantains were over cooked (burned), and I mentioned that to the server who brought me a complimentary side of plantains.Great ambiance in the restaurant, but the bathrooms were not very clean and didn't have paper towels that day.Other than that, the food was good. Our daughter really enjoyed her rice and beans.
