The Red Hut Cafe Soda Fountain

Was told 5 to 10 minute wait but ended up being 20-25. No worries as they were busy and trying to seat everyone as fast as possible. Staff is super friendly and always checking on the table if we needed anything. We were a party of 5. Two had burgers and they were huge and the fries are amazing. One person had the Usual and it was delicious. Here is where I had to drop down a star on the food. Two of us had chicken and waffles and though the waffle was delicious the chicken is a couple chicken strips that are so over cooked. They were dry and hard to eat. Would definitely return but will pass on the chicken and waffles.

Great Breakfast! Had the chicken fried steak and eggs. Fast service and coffee creamer came in a steel vessel. Heard about the gravy and it was really good. Toast came with butter on the side. Sometimes its the little things. Overall great experience. Prices very reasonable.

Oh, Red Hut! I have always enjoyed dining at your restaurant during my time in the Carson area. Now that I am moving from the stunning landscapes of North Nevada to the beautiful scenery of South New Mexico, I wanted to express my gratitude for the wonderful food, service, and memories that you have provided over the years. I will miss you, but I look forward to returning and relishing in the goodness of this place that I love. Every time I have visited, the food has been exceptional, the service friendly and attentive, and the overall dining experience truly delightful. Cheers to you! I know I will always feel at home when I return. Thank you for the many years of joy.

I tried the coconut waffle with whipped cream at this restaurant, and it was huge - almost the size of the plate. However, it was perfect. There wasn't an overwhelming amount of coconut, and each bite had just the right balance of flavor. Other places I've had waffles before often have chunks of coconut scattered throughout, but here it was evenly distributed. My friend ordered a double stack of pancakes that were also enormous, and it was the first time I heard him say he couldn't finish his meal. He also got some bacon that he described as perfectly crispy, and the pancakes themselves were not too sweet - just right. We definitely plan on coming back here again!

The restaurant serves delicious food, with a welcoming atmosphere and friendly staff. Best of all, the prices are fantastic!
