7/15/2023.. Right near the freeway.. and decided to stop by. I can't believe it's been four years since dining here.. way before COVID times... I enjoyed the previous visits, because they fried the chips and had different salsa's along with a jalapeño slaw .. First bad sign... chips we're packaged.. (not good for someone who can live on chips salsa).. Menu changed quite a bit they used to have a lunch special that you could order a one item entree.. selection was limited.. Three other tables were filled, but when you walked in.. there was no scent of food being cooked.. Prices were reasonable and the quantity of food is great! $13.99 an entree if the food had any flavor..(which sadly it did not).. Entree of the chicken rings tacos (3 of them).. filled to the max with shredded chicken and tomatoes and slaw.. rice and beans rice was very dry., Same went with the carnitas taco entree.. no flavor .. Double wrapped tacos and filled but no flavor.. even with scoops of the salsa.. Service was good .. If they brought back the original menu and chefs, I would come back..... Glad they reopened..
I would probably give negative stars for the food. Daughter's chimichanga was more like a bland burrito. It was not crispy at all. My wife and my chimichangas were terrible. The carnitas was dry as dry could be. I dumped a whole container of salsa on mine just to give it flavor. We asked for extra crispy and it was just crispy. The prices were very expensive. $15.99 for a mediocre/chimichanga. The reason I am giving 1 star is the food was -4 stars but the service was 5 stars.
They treat the customers like they're doing them a favor just being there. Left a group standing at the host station for 15 minutes, not one person said a thing. When I chased someone down, the snarky answer was someone will be with you in a minute. There were only 3 occupied tables in the place. The bar tender couldn't even be bothered to speak to any of us.
Really terrible management. Especially with food and beverage department.
