Yama Izakaya Sushi - Carrollton

I had no idea there was a sushi spot open until 2 AM! But I was pleasantly surprised by this place. It has a straightforward vibe and excellent service, making it a visit I'll repeat for sure. It was perfect for satisfying my late-night sushi cravings! The bento box was fantastic as well!

The food here is incredible—fresh sushi, seafood stir fry, and spicy wings are just a few highlights. I've been back twice in the last two weeks! The food is fantastic, but another reason for my return is our waitress, Selena. She is absolutely wonderful—so sweet and attentive! If you decide to visit, definitely ask for Selena if she’s available. I promise you won’t be disappointed by her or the food!

We had lunch on a Saturday and ordered Champon, Yama Ramen, Takoyaki, Shrimp Tempura Rolls, a Small Tonkotsu Ramen, and a Small Miso Ramen. I usually order Shoyu Ramen, but it wasn't available on the menu, so I decided to try the Yama Ramen instead. I wasn't particularly impressed with it. The Tonkotsu had an excessive amount of ginger. However, the other dishes were enjoyable. I especially liked the Champon and Takoyaki. The service was also good.

Definitely recommend! Food tastes authentic and very good. Surprisingly good ramen for lower than usual price, the rolls are good wasabi seemed like pretty decent quality! The raw fish was reasonably priced and well served (I had the sashimi salad). Vibes and environment were also very nice pretty and neat interior. All things considered a great experience!

We had dinner here and it was delicious! We got the katsu curry, takiyaki, chicken teriyaki bento and the omurice! Everything was delicious and flavourful! Honestly one of the nicest meals I've had in a very long time! I also really liked the incorporation of one piece anime art and other assorted art throughout the restaurant! The shrimp tempura is also a must try! If you're thinking of going here for dinner do it! And try the katsu you won't regret it!!
