Just at the end when we did cash and card payment she stated how much the total was and that it was less on card bc of the cash to make sure we tipped from total. I just thought it was funny and weird bc we know that, she didn 't have to remind us . The sides were okay. Not my fave dishes for Korean sides. The fried dumplings were so good! These actually tasted different and fresh va the typical ones I 'm use to getting. Spicy rice cakes and fish cakes were okay. I 've had better else where. It was missing a flavor. The braised short rib flavor was similar to the fish cake flavor but this was actually good. I wanted it spicy by my group couldn 't eat spicy. The meat was literally fall off the bone too. I would def come back for this dish. Spicy seafood soup tasted burnt. Def would not order that here. Spicy stir fry squid was good but it was super chewy. Maybe I 'll try squirt next time but i just like the tentacles better. This needed to have more jalapeños. I had maybe like 6 in there.
Came in specifically to try their spicy short rib stew (mae woon galbi jjim). The ribs were delectably tender and meaty with just enough fat on them. The stew had radish, carrots, a few rice cakes, and slices of peppers in it. The spiciness was definitely lacking. Overall, tasty but if you're looking for spice, then you'll be disappointed. It's more sweet and savory. The banchan were tasty but nothing really stood out as extraordinary. I came in a second time recently and had the same stew along with a seafood pancake. I really enjoyed the pancake. It was very crispy with a good amount of seafood and scallions in it. The dipping sauce was excellent and made the pancake even tastier. The spicy galbi jjim did not have rice cakes in it this time for some reason. I was really missing it. Thumbs down for consistency. It was still good, but I saw other dishes I would rather try on the next visit. I really like the private dining rooms they have. It's perfect for social distancing in this current environment we're in. They also have open tables in the main dining area and a large room with several smaller tables. Customer service was friendly enough. They pretty much only come by when you press the buzzer at your table. Everyone is wearing masks and they have a touch less thermometer that scans your temp when you enter. Another nice dining option when I'm in the area.
My friend and I went to try this place out before bringing a large group of people for a gathering. The food was good as well as the service. We typically go to Omi but wanted to give this place and try and glad we did. We will be back.
Came to Dallas for a golf tournament was looking for somewhere to eat after a 4 1/2 hr drive from San Antonio. Was headed to HMart on Old Denton road and when I parked I seen the sign Best Of the Best Korean Restaurant. I love my Korean food for sure. I don't have to be in the mood for Korean it's an automatic yes when it comes to Korean food for me. The Atmosphere in the restaurant was quiet music playing low lighting for me that's welcoming. The hostess was polite and told me to have a seat anywhere. After I placed my order it was ready with 5-7 mins. My waitress was attentive to my request and she was polite. A lot of people starting coming in around 7 pm. The price is usually the same with Korean food more on the higher than average meal especially dinner menu, but we'll worthy it good taste and leaves you feeling just right.
Excellent and authentic Korean food. Felt like I was eating in Seoul, Korea when we ordered a pot of boiling spicy seafood soup with udon noodles, spicy galbi jjim, beef bulgogi and fried mackerel. The hot pot soups serves 2 people, but can easily serve 4-5 people! Also, the ajummas were so friendly and accommodated our group of 9 people at 8 pm when the restaurant closed at 9 pm. Will definitely go back at an earlier timeframe to allow the ajummas to clean up and close at 9pm.
