Tandem - Carrboro

From beginning to end, food was excellent, as well as the service. Loved it and can't wait to go back.

It's not often you find a restaurant where every item you order is perfectly executed and well designed. We had cocktails, appetizers, salads, entree and dessert... And everything was worth returning for alone. While Tandem is not an inexpensive restaurant, it is absolutely worth the price.

Our waitress Natalie was well spoken and attentive. The bartender got our drink order perfectly. Sadly, our disappointment centered on the food. I had the snapper special which so drenched in cream sauce it still could not hide the inferiority of the fish itself. I recognize some people may enjoy such cover, but it was to much in my opinion and the taste was disappointing. My wife had the whole eggplant which did not appear as such and it too was marginal in taste, but delightful in presentation. There was no offer of bread as this maybe a trend post COVID. I am sorry I couldn’t be more positive.

We love Tandem and will come again, but they have lost the plot on their cheeseburger. This first time we had it , it was terrific. The second time, it was overdone but we figured that was an aberration. This time both burgers were overdone again. So we I’ll go elsewhere for burgers in the future.

Outstanding as always. Great food, great service, and love the menu/wine selection. It's our choice for an excellent meal in Chapelboro.
