Bullwinkle's - Carrabassett Valley

I usually have a great time here but my last visit was very unpleasant. I walked in with my girlfriend and was told it was a 30 minute wait , so we asked the hostess Daniele if we could wait in the bar until our table was ready. She said yes and handed me a buzzer. We got 2 drinks and a yard sale at the bar and we?re going to order 2 more drinks and the all day breakfast sandwich once seated. When our table was ready I went over to hostess and she sat us down at the table and asked if we had closed out our tab in the bar and so we went and closed out the tab and then waited at our table. I guess the manager sandy didn?t like that we were seated at a table and decided to come over and yell at us in front of 4 other tables trying to scold and embarrass us for moving seats even though the hostess gave us the buzzer for a table. She then told us that she ?would let it slide this time but next time I will not allow this?. She then left and me and my girlfriend waited to be served for 20 minutes and were never served. The waitress went out of her way to not make eye contact and not serve us?. So we figured it was time to go , and wanted to ask our waitress why we weren?t served and her response was ?my manger sandy told me I was not allowed to wait on you under any circumstances I?m really sorry it was so awkward?. Me and my girlfriend live on the mountain and work on the mountain and go to bullwinkles all the time and have never received this kind of treatment. We would have never sat at the bar with a buzzer if it wasn?t for our hostess saying it was okay!

Any time spent at Bullwinkes is a great day. I found it very off putting the way I was told we could only be in the facility if we were going to purchasing food or drinks. Not a very welcoming encounter..not the way Sugarloaf USA has made me feel in the past.

This is a nice spot to take a break and warm up. It offers a bathroom, seating areas, and a place to grab food and drinks. However, the food options are limited, featuring items like cinnamon rolls, chips, and candy. They do serve chili and chowder, but I wouldn't recommend the chili—I tried it last year, and it was priced at $10.50 but tasted quite disappointing. Despite that, it's a great place to relax and enjoy a quick snack!

This is one of the best mountain-side bars I've ever visited. They offer a great selection of draft and canned beers, as well as a full bar with excellent cocktails. The food is fantastic and reasonably priced for a mountain location. The service has consistently been outstanding, and the view is beautiful. My ski group has taken a picture here every year for the past eight years.

Fantastic restaurant! They have the best chili and an amazing selection of Bloody Marys. We were lucky to have the same server, Jackson, for two consecutive days, and he was outstanding!
