Family Traditions - Carmi

Family Traditions was beautifully decorated for the Christmas season. We were welcomed by Ian, who was very pleasant and checked on us regularly to see if we needed drink refills. Both my husband and I had baked ham for our meals. I had mashed potatoes with turkey gravy, green beans, and homemade bread, while my husband had mashed sweet potatoes, green beans, dressing, and homemade bread. The restaurant also offered homemade pies, including cherry, pumpkin, and pecan, although we were too full to try them. Cindy, the owner, came to our table to check on us and chat. We may return one day just for dessert.

My husband surprised me with a birthday celebration at this restaurant for my 30th birthday, and I was extremely impressed by the level of service from the staff. Every aspect of the restaurant is lovely and brings to mind a charming tea room from a bygone era— from the decorations to the tableware, it is clear that the owner puts a lot of care into creating a special dining experience. This restaurant is truly a hidden gem in Carmi.

This restaurant is a delightful place to eat! The food is delicious, the service is excellent, and the setting is beautiful.

The chefs are excellent. The service is fantastic. The desserts are delicious. The atmosphere is very comfortable.
