Good Cafeteria Food. Its been a while since I've dined at a cafeteria, but this place is really good. I would try the fried chicken, but there is a wide selection of good down home food like: meatloaf, fried chicken, mac and cheese and some of your favorite home cooked dishes. The service is nice and the staff is super friendly!

Fried Chicken/Mashed Potatoes/Chicken Livers. I had not eaten at an MCL in a very long time; probably over 20 years. I had read recently that the fried chicken here was good, so I decided to give it a try. I chose mashed potatoes and chicken livers to go with it. The chicken livers were good. A thin breading that was fried to a light crisp coating. The mashed potatoes and gravy were OK. The chicken was good. Better than I was expecting. The breading was light and crispy and the meat was pretty-well seasoned. Definitely better than I was expecting from a cafeteria. Next time I'm in a fried chicken mood, I'll have to keep MCL in mind. Overall for this trip, I give the following: Food: 2.75 Service: NA Atmosphere: 2 Explanation of rating scale: 1: Does Not Meet Expectations 2: Meets Expectations 3: Exceeds Expectations 4: Far Exceeds Expectations So, on this scale, a 2 is a respectable score. 4s will be very rare. (And hopefully so will 1s).

Worth a stop.. Great restaurant, I always make time to stop there when passing by. Good quality food, and the prices are decent.

MCL food is always fresh and delicious! Staff is friendly and helpful! It is clean and bright.....and if all the above isn't enough to convince you it is a good place to eat...how about THE PRICE IS RIGHT!

We have dined here several times. It is cafeteria style so you get to pick your preferred entree and sides. There are also salads, desserts, breads, etc. Fountain drinks are available with free refills including very good iced tea. There are servers throughout the dining area making sure you have what you need. They will also provide a to go cup of your beverage when you are ready to go. The grandkids love this place! Kids meal are free M-W and there is a senior discount every day from 2-5. Coupons are sometimes available in the mail.
