Old Mill Cafe - Carmarthenshire

On a recent holiday in Laugharne, we visited The Old Mill cafe at Llandowror, times- once for sunday lunch, which was so good, (especially the toffee apple sponge desert! Yum) we went back twice for breakfast, which kept us going all day! In our opinion the food and service is excellent!. Good traditional home cooking, with a choice of skinny, curvy or supersize breakfasts, which includes tea and toast, we had the curvy for just each! It is run entirely by husband and wife, who are so friendly, and work they're socks off to keep the customers happy.The cafe itself is wonderful and quirky- a mix of the OK Corral meets a Greek taverna, complete with a small ranch of geese, ducks, sheep, and a watermill and pond to the side of it. I only wish we didn't live miles away!Thank you for feeding us better than we cook at home Old Mill. We will be back.

Couldn’t fault the breakfast. A variety of different breakfasts available. Owners were extremely friendly and welcoming. We would highly recommend!

My wife and I recently had a wonderful Sunday dinner at the old mill. I ordered the steak and my wife had the roasted chicken, both dishes were accompanied by delicious vegetables and cooked perfectly. The owners of the restaurant do a fantastic job and I highly recommend a visit. The restaurant has limited seating, so making a reservation is advised. We will definitely be returning.

During a recent vacation in Laugharne, we decided to visit the Old Mill Cafe in Llandowror. We dined there for Sunday dinner and were so impressed (especially with the toffee apple sponge dessert - yum) that we ended up going back twice for their breakfast, which is served all day. The restaurant offers good traditional home-cooked meals, including a choice of thin, curvy or supersize breakfast options that come with tea and toast. We opted for the curvy breakfast and it did not disappoint! The staff were extremely friendly and attentive, making sure that all customers were well taken care of. The cafe itself has a unique and quirky atmosphere, resembling a mix between the Ok Corral and a Greek tavern, complete with a small group of geese, chickens, sheep, and a water feature and pond. I only wish we lived closer so we could visit more often! Thank you, Old Mill, for feeding us better than we could at home - we will definitely be back.

Please disregard any negative comments, as they are likely from individuals who did not book ahead of time. The food is consistently good and we will definitely continue dining here.
