Teriyaki Bao: Harumama Carlsbad

I had a delicious ramen dish and highly recommend the Flying Pig. Be sure to try the spicy garlic edamame and the adorable character buns as well!

My daughter and I had a wonderful lunch together. We tried the Panda Bao (Spicy Chicken), which is my daughter's favorite dish. I wish they had a sauce for dipping, though. I ordered the lunch special, which was a Seaweed Salad, along with the Garden Party Ramen, while my daughter had the Me So Hot Ramen. Overall, we enjoyed a delicious lunch and had a great time. The service was also good.

We've enjoyed Harumama in the past, but this visit was just okay due to one significant issue: the teriyaki was overloaded with garlic. It was so intense that even after 24 hours, I still couldn't shake the taste, despite brushing my teeth multiple times. My wife even commented that I still smelled strongly of garlic. It made the meal quite unenjoyable. They really need to reduce the garlic or find a better way to prepare it.

We only ordered bao: 4 pork, 2 beef, 2 strawberry, 4 of the special edition Nutella cinnamon. So cute and so yummy! It was a post yoga treat. If it was less expensive, we'd go there all the time. Next time, we'll try the entrees.

Friendly staff and pretty good sized portions. Got the bulgogi beef. It was delicious. Buns were good as well. I?ll be back. Nothing bad to say, I think anyone who came would be pleased.
