Richard Walker's Pancake House

The most challenging aspect of visiting Richard Walker's Pancake House is choosing what to order! On my latest visit, I decided on the apple pancake, which was definitely worth the extra 20 minutes of cooking time. To top it off, the irresistible aroma of something delicious wafted my way, so I had to try that too. Their bacon is absolutely amazing! Omar provided excellent service, and my friend loved her waffle flight. I really adore this place!

Every visit to Richard Walker's has been outstanding. Both the food and service are exceptional, and their coffee is truly extraordinary. I typically enjoy three cups and also get a to-go cup. Our daughter loves their iced tea so much that she often orders a whole pitcher, and she feels guilty if she can't finish it because it's just that good.

I had a wonderful experience with the friendly service on a pleasant patio. The food portions were generously sized. They also offer options for those with dietary restrictions, including gluten-free choices.

This is a super popular spot for breakfast and a few brunch/lunch items. Limited hours. Dod Friendly. Heated outdoor patio and indoor seating. We have been waiting to try it since we moved to Carlsbad. We went on a Thursday around 11 am. We were seated outside immediately (with my two dogs in a stroller). The menu is large, but since they are known for their German pancakes, we got one to share and decided we also needed bacon and coffee. We got the Pecan German Pancake. It was large enough for 2 3, or perhaps 4 people. It was very good, although it appeared to be a bit overdone (burnt). It also has a ton of cinnamon so if that's not your vibe, choose differently. The bacon was thick and soft (not crispy). We like it like that, so again, if you want it crispy, you might have to specify. The coffee was 10/10.The service was also very good; friendly attentive, our coffee stayed full.The scene isn't much to look at.
