Great Indian food. the interieur is quite basic, but we're going to get away so it didn't really bother us. it comes with free rice and is not almost as oily as the other four Indian restaurants nearby. the owners are beautiful and the cricket is almost always up while they wait! equipped dishes are chicken korma and lamb rogan josh. the garlic is super addictive. we have decided to get only one between us, because they are so big!

This is absolutely the best Chicken Vindaloo I have tasted in years; a perfect blend of heat and taste. It is also probably the only Indian restaurant where my wife has found more than a couple of dishes she could enjoy. Try the Fish Curry and the Rogan Josh for an introduction. Prices are reasonable. Rice is included with the mains. And BYO is available. Service is courteous and efficient. The restaurant itself is comfortable and great for a pleasant, quick lunch.

This restaurant is a longstanding Morningside institution and we used to go to the Friday and Saturday night buffets before Covid before we decided we didn't like the food. The buffets are finished now and that is a great thing because the food on the a-la-carte menu is really good. We ordered a Tandoori platter and a couple of vegetarian curries which were excellent and a cut above the average Indian curries which usually taste the same. We found pieces of cinnamon and cardomom pods in the sauce and the naan were actually cooked in the tandoor oven. The poppadoms and rice are complimentary too which we really appreciate after paying as much as $5 for a small serve of rice. BYO is a plus too! 29 April 2017 We've been a few times for the Friday and Saturday night buffet, which at $20 per head is really good value for money. The curries are too a bit too mild for our taste (more suited to the Australian palate) and we don't think that they are cooking the tandoori chicken and naan in the tandoor oven any more. We probably won't go back again!

We ate here with our two teenage boys. We enjoyed the butter chicken. The lamb korma was excellent. Chicken biryani was good. Great naan breads. Setting is nice. Friendly waitress. Good local Indian restaurant option.
