My partner ordered the prawn spinach linguine. The linguine was coated in an oil dressing, there was only 4 prawns and hardly any spinach. The bland linguine dominated the dish. There must be better restaurants in Bunbury.
I have been here 3 times as I absolutely love a stake house type meal, but I cant seem to land a good experience here as some others have stated. For a family of 4 the meal, desert and a drink each cost $340, which ill be happy to pay if the meal was substantial. Fillet steak about 1' thick and the size of biscuit is rude, especially when the South West has some of the best butchers you can get. Once bitten, twice shy, 3 times, well that's my fault but they will never get me back!
My family and I went to eat there on the 31/12/16Food was really good!2 bad things was that we couldn't take away the food that we purchase and couldnt finish as the Chef wouldw allow us, I really wanted to get more the mushroom sauce to take away and eat later in the hotel, but as the waitress said chef wouldn't allow us...Another thing was that I ordered a mud cake for desert and I requested to get warmed up in the microwave for 10-15 sec, waitress came back saying that it would melt the cake, and even though I Said it was ok, because thats how I wanted, she came back later saying that AGAIN the chef wouldn't do it...It Almost destroyed my mood for new years eve as I didnt get a order that I wanted because the chef refuse to do it... But I just let it go...
We were in Bunbury this weekend celebrating our 33rd Wedding Anniversary and the Steak Out was recommended to u by friends who live in Bunbury , Wow all an can say to my friends is thank you thank you Thank you OMG what can I say welcomed but an abslolutley lovely and friendly young lass atmosphere was lovely and the drinks were served in a very short time.. I ordered steak medium and that is exactly what I got the steak was cooked to perfection every single delicate morsel of steak was eaten slowly and I savoured every mouthful. I can honestly say the best steak I have ever eaten, My wife had Chicken parmigiana and she said exactly the same thing her chicken was perfection, Service was brilliant food was perfect and all for around 70 bucks including drinks, All I can say is you need a name change from Steak Out to Steak Heaven or at least a slogan because it was food from heaven served by angels, What a great way to celebrate our Wedding Anniversary . I highly recommend this restaurant
I went to the SteakOut for my birthday. I had friends who hadn't been and so I raved about the SteakOut. When my partner and I arrived we brought our own cake. My partner "secretly" instructed the waitresses that it was my birthday and if they could sing happy birthday. They agreed which was nice. When my steak which was a Scotch came it was way over cooked. I requested medium rare. I got well done. I let the waitress know but didn't want another steak as we had waited a bit for our food and didn't want to wait longer. I didn't want this to dampen my night however after waiting 20 + minutes for our plates to be cleared (this was on a Sunday night when there was only 5 tables of people) my partner got the waitress attention. You could clearly see plates of food on our table. But with our dinner dishes still on the table!!! They brought over the cake and almost gave it to another guess who still had their plate in front of them. When at the start of the night (1 1/2 hour earlier) my partner made obvious it was my birthday! I'm very disappointed! I would recommend Hogsbreath instead.
