Auberge Normande - Carentan

A very disappointing and disagreeable experience. The plates were cold, the food lukewarm and none of the dishes were prepared in house. All were packaged and frozen. The riz de veau came in a bland sauce and was tasteless. The St Jacques were rubbery and the steak was like the sole of a shoe. To add insult to injury, the bill was outrageous. We will not go back and have advised our friends to avoid this place.

This small restaurant was such a find. The chef in his hat and the quiet relaxed atmosphere was wonderful . The food was delicious and so well presented !! A great place for French food !!

We came for 1 night we arrived one evening without having reserved a gentleman welcomed us and looking at what was available we were lucky there were still family rooms available and he gave us a reduction on the price from the room seeing that it was available. We had a good night despite the proximity to the road it was very quiet we slept well and in the morning the breakfast was good there is everything you need to start a good day
