In my last review I stated that I'd definitely come back and so I made good on that recently. As before I'm glad I did. My family was with me the same as last time and all four of us ate our fill for less than $48. I had the Big Breakfast (toast, ham, sausage, bacon, potatoes and eggs over hard just like I asked for!) once again and it was terrific. My wife had the omelette which she couldn't finish as it was too big. The service this time was slightly slower but there were more people than when I came previously. They were down one staff member though who apparently wasn't able to come in that morning. I have not yet been to this place for lunch or supper but I think that will be happening soon.
They used to only be open until 1pm, but since the other family restaurant closed down, they're trying longer hours. Good food. You need cash as they don't have facilities for cards.
After reading reviews on Trip Advisor, we came here for lunch. The special was a hot beef sandwich with soup and dessert ($12.95). The soup was great, the hot beef sandwich was half a slice of poor white bread with beef and gravy on top. To be fair, the beef and gravy were good, as was the scoop of mashed potatoes. The vegetable of the day - drumroll please - canned peas. I think what pushed me over the top was dessert. A nice slice of pie was what was going to change the experience. It wasn't pie, it was Jello.Portions were small and for what we got, it felt overpriced.
I've been living in Cardston for a few months now and finally had an opportunity to come here for a late breakfast. It was fantastic. As with many of the other reviews the place is not much to look at but the food was terrific. I went with with my wife, daughter and mother and we all ate our fill for under $60, including juice/milk/tea. The three adults all had the various 'Big Breakfasts' for $12.50 and the mount of food was generous. My daughter had the children's menu pancakes/sausage with juice for $4.The owner went out of her way to meet some of little daughter's requests which I greatly appreciated. In response to the review that mentioned microwaved scrambled eggs...I'm calling BS on that. The kitchen is in plain view and I didn't even see a microwave. I watched as our pancake batter was mixed fresh and the eggs were cracked.
