Trade Street Cafe - Cardiff

I have been frequenting this restaurant for lunch with my colleagues for the past few weeks. The food is delicious and of great quality. The portion sizes are fantastic compared to other cafes in the area. I have been going almost every day now and my overall experience has always been excellent.

I went to this restaurant for breakfast and was informed upon arrival that they were only offering bacon or sausage sandwiches. I ordered a bacon sandwich for myself and a colleague, along with hot drinks, which came to £12. The coffee was warm, not hot, and the tea even had coffee froth on top. The sandwiches had only two small slices of bacon, not filling the bread completely. I was very disappointed with the portion size. The server seemed unenthusiastic and disappeared for most of our meal. Although I understand that times are tough for businesses, I likely won't be returning to this restaurant for another meal.

Had breakfast here recently and it remains the best place for breakfast anywhere in my opinion. The Welsh Breakfast is fantastic with thick cut bacon and great quality sausages. Friendly staff giving very good service and a nice place to be overall. I’ll be back very soon

I work nearby, and Trade Street Cafe has always been a nice break from the busy city center when I don't have much time or want to relax during lunch. Since the new owners took over, the menu has become more limited compared to before, but the food is still delicious and of good quality. Unfortunately, one of the staff members is quite rude, and I have had some unpleasant experiences lately. Because of this, I am hesitant to go back anytime soon.

Have visited on numerous Friday's for breakfast with work colleagues. The Full Welsh Breakfast is the staple of choice and hits the spot. The staff are always friendly and polite. I wouldn't hesitate in recommending this place.
