Daiquiris - Cardiff

Tasty take away Mexican food. Good portion sizes and reasonably cheap. Service always very friendly. Have been quite a few times and would definitely go back again!

Having grown up in California, a hotbed for Mexican food, we were a little surprised by the fare at Speedy Amigos. It's not that it's bad food. It's just a different take on Mexican food than we're used to. Some of the ingredients had more...of a middle eastern feel to them. And perhaps this is from unavailability of Mex ingredients. Anyway, in a pinch this is pretty good food, but if you're from the southern states you might find it a little different than what you're used to.

We were staying in Cardiff and wanted a Mexican and after reading the reviews decided to locate this restaurant' for our evening meal. We found it went in to ask for a table only to be told they were not open until September but...they could provide us with a take away. Needless to say we refused. So Speedy Amigos is not too speedy when you have to wait a month for a table!!

I ordered the fajitas and although they were served hot and in a generous portion, the taste was lacking. There was no real flavor and it felt like I could have made a much better version from scratch at home. Overall, I was disappointed.

The food at this restaurant is fantastic, the prices are reasonable, and the delivery is fast. It's a great option for the whole family and a nice change from the usual takeaway options.
