Sushi Shiono - CAPTAIN COOK

Everything we ate here was full of taste and very well prepared and balanced. The sampler was the perfect way to try a few we had?t before. The yellow **** collar and the crappy jersey were faves, but the toro stole the show. A strange location, but the food is worth it.

Enjoy dinner with many delicious options. Our server was very attentive and has a good knowledge of Japanese food. Everything was delicious and even better with a cold Kirin. My favorite was de Ika and Natto, which I don't think is for everyone, but on my taste it was very good enough to come back for more.

Whenever I meet Sashimi and Sushi, I come to Shionos! Absolute favorite place. Fish is always fresh, everything is always good!

The shrimp tempura, salmon poppers, soup, chicken and beef teriyaki were all excellent. The sushi was good, but not great had better in 'new American' restaurants in Hilo.

We loved this place. I don't know how their rolls are but if you are looking for authentic Japanese food then go here and order several of their appetizers and sashimi. They also have soba noodles and a nice sake sampling with three diffrent sakes. Portions are very decent for the price.
